She possesses an unwavering commitment to her team and the community. In addition to her role with Riverside, City is a member of several professional organizations and has recently achieved a certification to teach future certified nurses. Cindy, your dedication and commitment to the care you provide does not go unnoticed.

Lorely T. is a license practice nurse or LPN at Riverside Senior Life Communities in Kankakee. She has been practicing for over ten years and is dedicated to making a difference in senior living. Lorely is not only an excellent team player but consistently ensuring all residents receive the highest level of care. After 52 years working at Riverside Mary Girot is ready to try retirement

Mary Girot is retiring after 52 years with Riverside. Girot began her career at Riverside as a nurse’s aid in September of 1968 as part of a high school program. Two years later in 1970 she became a ward clerk, a position that is now referred to as a unit secretary. She held that position until earlier this year. Girot’s final position at Riverside was as a lobby attendant.

Mary, Congratulations on your retirement! Thank you for being a tireless professional, a helpful coworker, and amazing part of the history of Riverside. Best wishes on your new chapter in life.

Today we introduce Tracey, an RN at Internal Medicine in Kankakee. Tracey has over 14 years of nursing experience and is certified in ambulatory care nursing. She not only treats her patients’ needs but invests in them as individuals. Tracey lives out Riverside’s mission by striving to give her patients a remarkable experience. Contributions to Nursing Excellence at Riverside

The Professional Development Council would like to recognize the following nurses for their contribution to nursing excellence at Riverside.  Certification and re-certification require significant time and effort.  We congratulate and celebrate the nurses who make this effort on behalf of their patients and colleagues.  Certification is an achievement, and demonstrates a commitment to exemplary patient care.  Thank you all for your hard work, we appreciate you!

Jolynn Toma, who works in the Cardiac Cath Lab, received her Cardiovascular Nursing Certification.

Afton Dearinger, Intensive Care Unit, earned her Critical Care Registered Nurse certification. 

Angela Heldt, Nurse Practitioner for Pulmonology  recertified in Adult Geriatric Primary Care.

Rachel Denault, Wound Care Center RN, earned her Wound Care Certification (WCC)

Judi Brault, LPN at Butterfield, recertified as a CUA, (Certified Urologic Associate)

Shannon Greenquist FNP-BC in the Heart and Vascular Institute, obtained her Cardiac-Vascular Nursing Certification.
