Senior Advantage
Riverside’s Senior Advantage Program is a free resource for area seniors. We are a SHIP (Senior Healthcare Insurance Program) site with the Illinois Department of Aging. Our knowledgeable counselors provide personal and confidential consultations for Medicare counseling and assistance.

Michelle Jenczmionka, CCRN
Congratulations to Michelle J, for receiving her CCRN certification. Michelle works in the Education department, as well as the ICU. She is an RN, Crital Care Educator.
Michelle received her Critical Care Nurse certification in November from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Year of the Nurse Nominee: Mary Rose B., RN
Today we are celebrating Mary Rose, an RN Lifestyle Care Coordinator at Riverside Senior Life in Bourbonnais. She has been with Riverside for over 30 years and is always willing to do what it takes to care for her residents. Mary Rose is a true team player and excellent nurse. When COVID started, she stepped up and volunteered to care for residents who had tested positive. Thank you Mary Rose for your dedication to your residents!
2020 has been designated as the Year of the Nurse and into 2021 we will be celebrating nurses who have been nominated as someone who exemplifies what it means to be a nurse.
Year of the Nurse Nominee: Cassie H., RN
In our ongoing celebration of Year of the Nurse, we recognize Cassie H., RN with Riverside Podiatry Specialists. When needed, Cassie willingly volunteered to fill in at Senior Life Communities in Bourbonnais. Cassie is trusted and appreciated by the residents and families she cared for during this time, always willing to help answer questions and ease any worries. Cassie is also highly esteemed by the patients and staff she works with daily in the podiatry office. Thank you for the strength and kindness that you provide.

Year of the Nurse Nominee: Nick F., LPN
During the pandemic, Nick decided to join the Manpower pool which meant he would work anywhere in the system that needed help. During his time on the Manpower pool, Nick served as anything he was asked to and did it with a positive attitude. He was asked to serve as preceptor for a New Grad while he was working at Miller and he graciously stepped up to serve in this role. Nick is happy to help wherever needed and is truly a team player. We are thankful to Nick as he answered the call and exemplified One Riverside when it was needed the most. Thank you Nick!
