We’ve made great progress towards Riverside’s campaign goal. But we still need your help.

There is still time for you to make an impact in your community. Helping people in our community thrive is what United Way fights for every day.

Make your pledge today to building a stronger, healthier region. When we LIVE UNITED, you help local people thrive. Whether that’s finding solutions to hunger, supporting kids who need extra support in school, helping people who are homeless, addressing community-wide trauma, or other social crisis – it’s about standing up to the complex causes of our region’s most daunting problems.

Already made your gift to United Way? Thank you for your continued support and devotion to your neighbors.

If you haven’t yet given, pledge forms are available for download here. They are also available on Rivernet or from Nancy Moore. Completed forms can be sent to Nancy Moore or Human Resources.

We’re almost to the finish line!

Thank you,

Nancy Moore

Thank you for helping us kick off the 2020 United Way campaign!

Learn more about how United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties fights for the health, education and financial stability of the people in our community through United Way’s impact report here.

Whether you’re interested in ending homelessness, making sure more youth succeed in school, or making our community healthier, United Way is your chance to be part of the solution.

That’s what this year’s United Way campaign is all about, and I hope you’ll join our colleagues in making life-changing moments happen right here in Kankakee and Iroquois Counties.

In fact, this year’s campaign will support a special project to benefit our partners at Harbor House.

Each year Riverside Healthcare runs a successful campaign for United Way, usually placing high in the “giving” category within the county. This year, Riverside’s giving goal is $56,000.

“As our local United Way enters a new chapter, we know there will be both challenges and successes along the way. We also know we are stronger together, and to live better we must be united,” said Kyle Benoit, Riverside Healthcare SVP and COO, who serves as Board President of United Way. “We need you as advocates for our community because together we can make a difference.”

When you give to United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties, you make it possible to change lives in our community and strengthen our region overall.

Pledge forms are available for download here. They are also available on Rivernet or from Nancy Moore. Completed forms can be sent to Nancy Moore or Human Resources.

The 2020 United Way campaign to help our neighbors, friends, and families live their best possible lives has kicked off! With your support, the United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties strengthens our entire community and positions us for a better tomorrow.

When you support the United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties, you join the fight for:

  • The health of our community. United Way makes it easier for individuals to afford medical prescriptions, receive quality mental health services, and access nutritious foods. Together, we’re fighting to help everyone get – and stay – healthy. Recently, United Way helped provide 3,000 meals each week to households negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and helped nearly 1,000 households access mental health supports during the months of April and May.
  • The chance to succeed for more kids. From cradle to career, United Way helps ensure every child gets a strong start in life, teenagers have the tools to learn and grow, and young adults thrive in the job market. With over 40 partners committed to the Success By 6 Coalition, United Way celebrated many large wins over the last year including a $2.1 million grant to address childhood trauma and resources for families in Kankakee County and early childhood professional development training for over 100 local practitioners.
  • A path toward financial stability for everyone. United Way supports access to services, job training, and money management programs that help make financial stability easier. Through the Strong Neighborhoods Initiative, United Way uses place-based strategies to foster equity, inclusion and sustainable community development. United Way has launched this new initiative in two priority neighborhoods in 2020 with opportunities for further expansion.

Help your community and make a gift to United Way today!
