Learn the history of how child abuse was addressed/treated, what signs professionals and others should be aware of, how to approach someone you feel is being abused and the effects of and treatments for child abuse.

Meet the Presenter
Dr. Raunak Khisty, MD, MPH, FAPA completed his Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from Krishna Institute of Medical Science in Karad, India. Dr. Khisty holds a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology from the The University of Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health. His Residency of Psychiatry was completed at Wake Forest University, along with his Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Currently Dr. Khisty is the Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction, and Associate Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency at Riverside Medical Center. Dr. Khisty practices as the Child and Adolescent Hospital Psychiatrist for Riverside Behavioral Medicine.

Continuing Education
Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded 2 continuing education contact hours for nurses,
nursing home administrators, respiratory care technicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists,
counselors, and social workers. KCC is an approved provider through the Illinois Department of Financial
and Professional Regulation. Teachers will be awarded 2 professional development hours upon
successful completion. KCC is an approved provider through the Illinois State Board of Education. All
participants needing continuing education hours will be required to complete a post quiz and evaluation.
